Mumbai - January 19th, 2008
For the past three days we have been very kindly hosted by a variety of members of my friend Nimisha’s family. Our first night we spent with her maternal uncle Manu & family, and then we spent two nights with her paternal uncle Tata & family. It’s been great. Hopefully the pictures will come through, they give a much better idea of everything we’ve been up to than anything I could ever write. Please note that I do have a photo of the monkey who stole a bag of chips that was clutched firmly in my left hand (my right was busy taking a photo). Apparently my dedication to photography is so great that I completely tune out the rest of the world. Day 3 & I’m already glad I have my rabies shots!
Nimisha’s uncle Tata awoke her this morning with a phone call from us at dinner, I think he’d forgotten about the time change. As we were chatting, a small mouse scurried across the floor and up a chair leg at the table across from me. I think it resides in the chair there for I noticed bits of stuffing hanging out from the bottom, as well as a little shredded seat-cover material. The meal was tasty.

Hey Hey, I’ve been reading up on your trip and it sounds like many eventful things have already happened…yeah travelling! I saw some photos too, and I especially like the one at the Singapore airport where no durians are allowed. That’s like my favorite fruit and probably the world’s stinkiest fruit too. I can understand why durian would be banned….haha. Hope your travels bring you great adventures, and I hope everything goes well and safe for you and your sis! I look forward to more updates! Take Care Mad! peace!
